Scripts with Good Online Documentation

Each of these scripts is presented in three ways: a usage documentation in HTML, a annotated script in HTML, and a copyable, executable script in Tcl. The link shown here is to the usage documentation.

• procedure for extracting options and switches This procedure helps you implement Tcl-like switches and options. The Tcl library of C functions has another way for you to do this but it isn't directly available from Tcl.

• procedures for reading and writing short files These procedures include a portable locking mechanism.

• a stack pseudoclass A namespace that can be used to instantiate multiple stacks. These stacks push and pop single strings but permit additional strings to be attached with labels.

• A procedure for redirecting the standard input and output of a slave interpreter.

• A simple web server whose sole purpose is to execute Tcl CGI scripts.

All these examples were created with the Metamark system. All have public domain executables and copyrighted documentation.
